35 Excellent Typography Logos

Couple of days back I had posted the 70 Typography Logos. Now this is the next version of the typography logos. I love typography. I took lot of time to choose my type. May be I”m sick of it. I owe so many designers only because of their type execution or they choose the very good type.

I had collected 35 typography logos. I had classified the typography logo into Handwriting, Customize, Type with small element, Playful and so on.  For my convenience I”m classifying into these categories.

Signature / Handwriting Style

I like the signature category, but it should not be an actual signature of a person. That is the key point
to create the signature or hand writing style of a logo. I like the penflare’’s logo. I don”t know why he wasn”t use this one. Meanwhile, when I saw the Windows, it’’s striking. The designer can able to avoid the Microsoft’’s windows and had created this.

Customize Type

Customization is crating the new or customize from the exist. Best example is berthier logo done by David Airey. How he custom the logo from Gotham. He explained in his site. Read the customization.
Creating new logos from scratch is again very difficult, but once you planned and got the flow, it”ll become very easy. See the nice ones in below.

Slice / Cut / Stripe

Small slicing in the part of the logo will make more sense. My best choice to describe is Logo Review done by Penflare. He cut the “V” and make it as a tick symbol. Very impressive one. And the another one is HALF done by Anitexpro. He remove the lines and cut the logo exactly in the middle and the word “HALF” make more sensible.

Small Element

Adding a small element will change the color of the logo. Nido’’s Simple PC, Cerise’’s Bamboo and Epsilon’’s Lift are the best examples of this category.

Playful

Playful is one of the most important area where the designer can break all the rules. They paly with special characters, shoe laces, shadows, flip and anything could possible.

Miscellaneous

Actually this is all are not miscellaneous. Logomotive’’s Trust is a kind of an ambigram, nosey is a human face, and molasses tree is a clothing industry. I don”t have enough logo in the categories, so I had decided to order under misc.

Why I showcased here?

The designer has to see all these various type of execution of the logo and cross this borders and has to create the new one. Above displayed logos are just for a reference. Please do not get inspire. Have a look on the logos and keep it in your mind, that somebody execute better than you. So, try to create the better than this.

These are interesting. I like the styles of lettering. i think that most of them work well, but some are a little plain and could use a design along with it or a more exciting font.

some of these are beautiful, especially the hand written/signature ones, but a few are a little overdone and feel as if the client needed to inject a little more.. ie goosebumps..

nosey is a fantastic concept, as well as the upside down productions logo — was pulled off well I think.. :)

Thanks for featuring the Molassestree logo I designed.

Actually, Molassestree consists of one person who hand-makes children’s clothing and other fabric goodness. Her Etsy shop is here: http://www.molassestree.etsy.com
