23 Wonderful Origami Designs – Resources, Logo Designs and more

Origami (from oru meaning “folding”, and kami meaning “paper”) is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. The goal of this art is to create a representation of an object using geometric folds and crease patterns preferably without the use of gluing or cutting the paper, and using only one piece of paper.

The above statement is the explantion of Origami which I quoted from wiki. But, I remember, without knowing the name of origami, I had done the ship at the age of six. Still I remember my Dad teach me to build the ship in one single paper and further rocket. Everyone knows at least this two and cannot miss in our younger age.

Now, this magic ( art of paper ) had converged in the system and implemented in various design forms. I had collected those designs available in various formats and also the photographs of various shapes of origami.

Origami Books

To learn the origami, the following books will be helpful for you.

18. Easy Origami

Review from the reader:
This book is a good introduction to anyone who is interested in exploring origami and what it has to offer. The models in this book can be done by anyone, even if they have never had any origami experience. The diagrams are clear, concise, and to the point. By constructing the models in this book, one not only can create various paper works such as fish, birds, boats, windmills, but also learns basic origami folds and techniques which are fundamental to more intermediate and advanced folding, if one wishes to continue in this discipline. All in all, I highly recommend this book to beginners and newcomers to origami.

19. The Complete Book of Origami: Step-by Step Instructions in Over 1000 Diagrams

Review from the reader:
This is a great book-but only if you are already familair with origami. You cannot simply look at the diagrams, as Lang has made the text descriptions almost more important than the visual descriptions.

21. Complete Origami: An A-Z facts and folds, with step-by-step instructions for over 100 projects

Review from the reader:
A really complete Origami book. Defining all basic terms and procedures that will be used throughout the book from the very beginning, it is recommended for beginners and for anyone who has already some background in Origami.

22. Origami Design Secrets: Mathematical Methods for an Ancient Art

Review from the reader:
The one book that every origami fan MUST have! Robert Lang’’s book is one of the most amazing origami books I have ever seen. Disregard the higher than normal price for the book, it is worth every penny.
